Misalignments

Some installers have reported that it is possible to install a WEEB-XMC so that the teeth are not in contact with both modules. This is an unfortunate consequence of the fact that WEEBs are designed to work with modules from all manufacturers. The WEEB is designed to be just slightly wider than the mid clamp. This results in the teeth being positioned just under the edge of each module where the clamping force will be maximum and the module frame is strongest. This is necessary to make sure the teeth penetrate completely.

For some types of modules that have a very strong frame, it should be possible to move the teeth further under the edge and give more margin for installation. We are in discussions with several module manufacturers and hope in the near future to come out with new WEEB versions which address this issue. Until then we are relying on skilled installers to take some care when positioning the modules in order to make sure the teeth do contact correctly.
