ASSET Software
Requirements
The ASSET software is designed to run on IBM compatible computers with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Windows 2000 or newer. Java is required to be installed for all Windows systems.
300 MBytes of disk space is required. 512 MBytes of RAM is recommended. The computer must have a USB port or adapter for transferring files from the camera.
Installation
PC
The distribution CD contains all files required by the ASSET software. If your computer has autostart enabled, the installation will start after you have inserted the CD. If not, then you must run the program "Setup.exe".
- By default, files will be installed to the directory "C:\..\My Documents\ASSET\"
For Version 1.30 and earlier, files will default to the directory "C:\Program Files\ASSET\" - VISTA USERS! For ASSET V1.30 and earlier, specify an alternate directory for installation. We recommend "C:\ASSET\"
(Vista does not allow users to access the "Program Files" directory) - During installation a shortcut to the ASSET software will be copied to your desktop.
- The ASSET software includes a free image editing program, Paint.NET. To install, run "PaintDotNet_2_5.exe". For newer computers, you may first need to install an additional file, dotnetfx.exe, included on you ASSET Software disk, in order to install Paint.NET. Alternately, the latest version of Paint.NET may be downloaded from "www.getpaint.net"
Software Support
Please register your ASSET product at our Product Registration website. Registered ASSET customers are entitled to receive new software versions and fixes free of charge within 1 year of purchase date. Product support can be extended for a small annual fee.
